The Dynamics of Form

In 2021, our studio faced a new architectural challenge: applying our philosophy of "essential forms" to a dynamic, load-bearing object. We partnered with DaiWalk, a brand with a long history in walking canes, to completely rethink this essential tool for a modern, youthful demographic. The objective was precise — to engineer a cane that is structurally strong, exceptionally lightweight, and visually contemporary.

Eliminating the Ornamental

For too long, mobility aids have been defined by outdated shapes and redundant ornamental details. We believe that mobility today is not about limitation; it is about freedom, independence, and moving through life on your own terms. Together with DaiWalk, we set out to strip away this unnecessary complexity. Our shared purpose was simple: people who use a cane should look confident, contemporary, and at ease.

Engineered Through Experience

A walking cane is, fundamentally, an extension of the human body. It requires absolute balance. To create a handle that truly feels right, our design process involved testing over 70 different shapes and constructions. Each iteration was rigorously evaluated for long-term comfort, spatial balance, and structural strength under varying body weights. The result is an ergonomic form that sits naturally in the hand, offering stability and confidence with every step.

Refined Strength & Color

Today, the signature clean lines of the DaiWalk cane are synonymous with modern style. By introducing carefully selected color combinations and eliminating visual noise, we transformed a traditional medical accessory into a bold lifestyle object. Designed in London and produced in Ukraine, this collaboration stands as a testament to the mindset of craftsmen — combining honest materials, modern proportions, and deliberate intention.

What was the DaiWalk Collaboration? The Project was a study in ergonomics, redefining the walking cane for modern life. The Object was defined by its clean lines, striking colors, and absence of redundant details. The Form was engineered to provide structural support while maintaining a lightweight profile. The Result was a contemporary mobility tool designed for youth, freedom, and confidence.

The DaiWalk Cane could:
